The Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum displays the world’s largest collection of historic airplanes and spaceships. It is also a center of aerospace history, and of the technologies surrounding flight and space travel. The museum includes hundreds of exhibits, including objects owned by the Wright brothers, the “Spirit of St. Louis,” an Apollo 11 command module, and a sample of moon rock visitors can touch.
